In the Fall of 2009, three college students from the University of Oregon put together a music video entitled “I Love My Ducks” that prominently featured the Duck mascot, along with clips from various football games. It was a really big hit with the fans, but the you-know-what hit the fan because the mascot, formerly known as Donald, was licensed from Disney.

Well, the boys revised the video and remove the Duck, but the fans cried “fowl.” Thanks to publicity brought about by the first music video, Disney and UO came to an amicable agreement that the UO Duck was not Donald, and the original video was back in circulation.

Fast forward to Fall, 2010. Jamie Slade, Michael Bishop and Brian McAndrew–also known as Supwitchugirl–came out with a new video they called “Return of the Quack”. Joey Harrington has a cameo appearance at the beginning.

I think this version is much better than their first “I Love My Ducks” video, not that the first wasn’t good. I look forward to seeing what they come up with for the 2011 football season.
